PEER SUPPORTED SOBER LIVING (PSL)
PSL is a communal, peer-supported sober living program serving men in early recovery, including those recently discharged from treatment, released from incarceration, or transitioning from homelessness or unstable living situations due to addiction and alcoholism.
PSL provides a structured, supportive environment designed to help clients establish daily routines, secure gainful employment, develop independent living skills, reintegrate socially, engage with the recovery community, and establish and work toward long-term personal goals.
The typical length of stay in PSL is approximately six months, though duration may vary based on individual needs and progress.
PSL currently accounts for 19 beds across three residential homes operated by New Dawn Recovery Services.
INDEPENDENT SOBER LIVING (ISL)
Independent Sober Living (ISL) is a communal sober living program designed for individuals who have successfully completed the Peer-Supported Sober Living (PSL) program and/or graduated from comparable treatment programs.
ISL serves as a “step-down” level of care, supporting the transition from highly structured early recovery environments to greater independence. ISL allows residents to maintain routines established during treatment while continuing to receive weekly support from peers and staff.
ISL clients work toward long-term SMART goals focused on stability, well-being, and sustained recovery. Clients also continue to participate in recovery community meetings and sober activities, while gaining increased autonomy in their day-to-day lives and returning nightly to a supportive, substance-free living environment.
ISL currently accounts for 13 beds across two residential homes operated by New Dawn Recovery Services.
